Chasing Alpine Dreams: A Hiker’s Guide to Rocky Mountain National Park
A mountain-and-lake view that captures the scale and calm of the park.
Rocky Mountain National Park has a way of making every mile feel larger than life. The road climbs, the air thins, and the landscape keeps opening into another impossible view.
We spent the day following the edge of alpine lakes and looking for the trails that led farther into the quiet. The mountains were reflected in the water with such clarity that it was hard to tell where the landscape ended and its echo began.
There is no shortcut to the feeling of being there. It comes from the wind, the changing light, and the simple act of walking until the world gets very still.
