Cheung-Chau
A coastal stop filled with rocky shorelines, gentle water, and a slower pace.
Cheung Chau feels like a pause from the pace of Hong Kong. Ferries arrive at a compact harbor, bicycles replace cars, and the island’s paths quickly trade city noise for sea air.
We followed the coast past fishing boats and weathered rock formations, stopping whenever the view asked us to. The shoreline is full of small surprises: a quiet cove, a bright patch of water, a trail that rises just enough to change the perspective.
It is the kind of place that rewards an unhurried afternoon. By the time we headed back to the ferry, the island had given us exactly what we came for: room to breathe and a new favorite view.
